The girls swim team defeated Trenton at their home meet on January 16, 2018. This meet was a chance to show off their overall depth as a team, with many swimmers achieving personal bests.

The meet against Trenton came towards the end of the dual meet season, so it gave many swimmers a chance to show off what they had been working towards for the whole season.

“Our team has improved so much throughout the season” senior captain Fiona Misiura said.

The Trenton meet was also a chance for some of the junior varsity swimmers to score points for the team.

“This meet was an especially good one for our JV swimmers,” Misiura said. Many achieved personal bests, showing off all of their hard work from the season.

The swim team also had a strong showing at the Mercer County Tournaments, breaking multiple records and taking home first place in several relay events.

Even with their current success, the swim team is looking forward. “At this point we’re really hoping that we’ll make it to team states,” Misiura said.
